NSPI - Nova Scotia Power Inc. (NSPI) is the provincial utility
PA - The Procurement Administrator (PA) will administer the procurement of new renewable resources for the GCP. Learn about the PA here
Participant - A participant is a large corporate energy user or government institution who is interested in subscribing their electricity consumption to the GCP.
'Participant Agreement' - Execute 'participant agreements' with customers (formal language TBD, this is the contractual commitment to purchase clean energy after price is confirmed)
PPA - Selected Proponents sign a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) during the Target Agreement Execution Period.
Proponent - A proponent is an independent power producer who is interested in bidding into the GCP RFP.
RFI - Proponents are required to submit a Request for Information (RFI) for consideration to bid into the GCP RFP.
RFP - The PA will issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) to build renewable energy projects to meet the needs of enrolled applicants. Proponents prepare and submit proposals for evaluation. This will be similar to the Rate Base Procurement bid submission process

A draft Request for Proposals (RFP), draft Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), feedback forms, and Proponent Request for Information (RFI) are now available for public review. RFIs and feedback for the RFP and PPA are due to the Procurement Administrator 5pm AST on Thursday, September 21st.
